RE-EXPLORATION OF SPINKAI CAVE ON DECEMBER 2010

The celebrations of the silver jubilee ceremonies of Chiltan Adventurers Association Balochistan are continued since October 2010 1st and 2nd phase of the training and competition of speed and Rock-climbing and outdoor Caving training events for youth and senior boys / girl successfully ended here in the Mountains of Hanna Lake Quetta. 55 male female youth and senior mountaineers, cavers participated in the events. Minister sports Mir Shah Nawaz Khan Marri and Minister Prosecution Miss Rahillah Hameed Durrani (T.I) were Guest of Honour of the Prize and Certificate distribution ceremony while Hayatullah Khan Durrani (Pride-of-Performance) founder Chiltan Adventures Association Chief organizer of the silver jubilee Events / Programmes and Agha Faisal Shah President of the association upraise the activities of Chiltan Adventurers being held in the past 26 years 1984 to 2010. They appreciate the brilliant role of Simon James Brooks of Orpheus CC and Fadi Nadir Secretary of UIS for reorganization of CAAB & PCRCF and also hail their interest for promotion of speleological and caving adventure sports in Pakistan. Finlay among the large number of male female mountaineers and cavers Mir Shah Nawaz Khan Marri & Miss Rahillah Hameed Durrani Awarded the merit certificates and commemorative shields they appreciated the brilliant activities of CAAB held in the past 26 year.

          After the last 15 days successful visit in April 2006 of Simon James Brooks of Orpheus CC and Rep, BCRA/BCA to Pakistan as guest of the Chiltan Adventurers and Pakistan Cave Research & Caving Federation the exploration of new caves were deferred due to unfavorable circumstances in Balochistan. Despite the difficulties the 3rd phase of silver jubilee Cave exploration training expedition for new cavers was held under the leadership of expedition chief Hayatullah Khan Durrani followed by team manager Waqas Alam, and other cavers Mohammad Aslam Kassi, Ali Mohammad Khilji, Mohammad Yousaf (Sony), Imran Khan Durrani, Mohammad Asif, Farhanulllah Kakar, Zafar Khan Khilji and youth member of the caving team Mohammad Abubakar Durrani. had re surveyed / mapped and photographed the  330m (Spinkai Cave) having three small entrance and few narrow and wide passages and two chambers located at Naawa Bathozai near thooi waar Dame Village Killi Spinkai 80 km in north east towards Zhob  from Killa Saifullah District the cave was first time explored and maped by the Joint Pak-UK speleologists in early 1991. The cave was named "Spinkai Cave" by Hayatullah Khan Durrani due to its location in Spinkai Village. Naawa Bathozai, During the caving training all assistance and security was provided by CAAB member Waqas Alam Deputy Commissioner Killa Saifullah in the end of the caving training expedition Hayatullah Khan Durrani announce the 4th and final phase of CAAB Silver Jubilee events "Grand Camp" of mountaineers/Cavers and Juniper Defenders to be held in December at Ziarat and chotair Valley.

          It should be noted that during the exploration of these natural caves the Chiltan Adventures Association have found no evidence whatsoever of the caves being used by any terrorist groups. Contrary to the media's belief that all caves are hideouts.

          Chiltan Adventurers Association Balochistan based in Quetta the Western Pakistan has over past year managed to undertake the exploration of new caves in Pakistan especially in Balochistan Area. Since 1991 the Chiltan Adventurers have had a strong link with the UK via the Orpheus CC and over the years several Cave Exploration Expeditions have been made to Pakistan and UK by the Pakistanis & British speleologists. The Pakistan trips have resulted in the exploration of 128 separate caves in Pakistan. This includes Pir Ghaib Ghara 1.3 kms in length making it Pakistan's longest cave to exceed 1 km in length. Chiltan Adventurers Association and Pakistan Cave Research & Caving Federation are also recognized as country member with (UIS) International Union of Speleology & Speleo Club du Liban Beirut Lebanon through its founder Hayatullah Khan Durrani. Pakistan Cave Research & Caving Federation PCRCF is non-profit National constituent Governing body for Underground Exploration, research, and conservation of caves in Pakistan and adjacent areas. It represents all those persons and groups with a genuine interest in caves, karst and associated phenomena, whether from a strictly sporting viewpoint, a scientific viewpoint, or a combination of both to promote the study of caves and associated phenomena for protection of the Natural Heritage of Pakistan and International Speleological Community.

 

 

 

CAVES FINDING & INITIAL EXPLORATION WORKS OF CAAB/PCRCF FROM 01-11-2000 TO 31-08-2006.

The Officials and members of Chiltan Adventures Association And Pakistan Cave Research Association visited Afghanistan in 2002 and initially explored one cave as per following details CAAB & PCRA Officials and Members has also detected & Initial explored the under mentioned some caves with effect from 1st November 2000 to 31st  December 2003 in the different limestone areas of Balochistan (Pak) It is mentioned that the members of CAAB/PCRA are well trained in the field of Mountaineering sports and cave exploration some Officials and members of CAAB / PCRA has received Advance training In United Kingdom and Pakistan from the members and officials of Orpheus Caving Club Derby Great Britain the representative Club of British Cave Research Association specially from Mr. Simon James Brooks & MR. Hayatullah Khan Durrani Internationally renown eminent Cave Explorers, surveyor, Cave Photographer/Rock-climbers .the OCC and CAAB ,PCRA has jointly started the Cave exploration work officially first time in Pakistan 1n 1990 and till date both organizations has explored more then 130 caves in Pakistan with the assistance of OCC ,on the other hand OCC, CAAB & PCRA are the (Pioneer)founder Organaizations of Cave exploration Sports Research and education in Pakistan.9th Pak-UK International Cave Maping, Surveying and exploration / Rock-Climbing Training Course was held in Balochistan 23rd April to 8th May 2006 under the banner of PCRA and CAAB.
